Supermarket Crashout Press Kit

We're a small husband-and-wife indie game dev team that released our first small, finished video game, Rat-a-Sewey, in 2019, and we've been working on all kinds of projects since.

Sarrah Wilkinson walks the line between artist and programmer. She started making games back in high school, using QBasic. She found a love for programming early on, and went on to learn Perl CGI, PHP, and Javascript, spending several years in the realm of web design. The lure of video games was too much, though. She began working with Unity for a while, and later moved to Godot. She loves how games allow her to combine her 2D artwork, 3D modeling skills, and joy of programming!

Robert "Robbie" Wilkinson has been a gamer since the term meant anything at all, starting out on systems like the ZX Spectrum and sticking with PC gaming most of his life. He has a wide breadth of knowledge about all sorts of genres, and an irreverant (British) sense of humo(u)r, making him an invaluable partner for input into wacky game designs like this one. Likewise, he's a music lover, and later discovered an additional passion: making music! He provides the fantastic soundtracks for all of our games.

About Supermarket Crashout

We've all been there - you want to get your grocery shopping done quickly, but of course everything that could possibly go wrong to slow you down, does go wrong.

Don't you want to just... cut loose?

Our game gives you a list, and off you go! Your job is to get through the store, grab all the items, and make it to the checkout as fast as you can. You can play nice, or you can just bash other shoppers out of the way and send the shop's inventory flying! It's up to you.

Supermarket Crashout is a silly, fast-paced, 3D first-person shop'em up with a cartoon aesthetic and characters inspired by the beloved puppets we grew up with!

It's made in the Godot game engine, with art assets created in Blender and Clip Studio Paint, and music in Ableton. It's available to wishlist on Steam now.

No Generative AI

It's very important to us that 100% of our work is human-made. We're proud to say that Supermarket Crashout does not use generative AI in any part of our process - not for ideas, concept art, placeholders, coding, 2D or 3D artwork, music, sound effects, or anything else.
